CHIQUITA L. TILLMAN

CHIQUITA TILLMAN was born and raised in Missouri, but lived most of her life in Los Angeles, CA. She is an  Author, Advocate, Speaker, and Board Certified Mental Health Coach.  She tirelessly works to bring awareness to Sex Trafficking and the process of healing for the victims.

After surviving a life of abuse and sex trafficking she has become an advocate on bringing awareness and educating individuals on sex trafficking and helping others to overcome that trauma and to live a productive life. Between 2005- 2013 Chiquita began sharing her experience at various churches in Southern and Northern California, as well at various group homes for teenagers. 

 In 2009 Chiquita earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Christian Counseling. In 2015 she published her autobiography titled, “I Am a Ruby, Not a Sapphire”, which tells the story of her journey into Sex Trafficking and her struggle to finding her worth in a world full of rejection. In 2016 Chiquita became the Business Owner of Rubies INK, LLC and in 2018 she was the Survivor’s Voice at the Missouri State Capitol’s Sex Trafficking Awareness Rally in Jefferson City, MO. She's made guest appearances on talk radio shows, podcasts, magazines, and television.

Overcoming her personal experiences places her in a position to inspire and counsel others. She accredits her strength to her faith in God alone.
